Long Time Coming!

Wow… I really dropped the ball on documenting our trip! The truth is… traveling with four children is tough and free time has not been as readily available as I imagined. Regardless, we are having a fantastic trip and I wouldn’t trade it for anything.

We picked up Caroline and Jacob a while ago at the Jackson Airport for a week at the Tetons and Yellowstone National Park. We spent 3 nights at the Moose Creek Ranch in Victor, ID. It is a simple ranch located just on the other side of Teton Pass with glamping, cabins and a few RV spots. It is a beautiful place and I wouldn’t mind visiting again. The morning after Caroline and Jacob flew in I woke everyone for a super early hike at Jenny Lake. We hiked a little over ten miles and everyone did fantastic. The hike is stunning and we saw a beer and a moose!

We found an RV spot at Buffalo River in Island Park, ID to stay at while visiting Yellowstone. Yellowstone was magical as you can probably imagine and we were awed by the beauty and craziness of God’s creation. We ended up staying in Island Park for a little over a week, because I decided not to drive to Boise. John Cole and I did a lot of fishing and we enjoyed floating down the Buffalo many nights. Mike Erkmann and Elizabeth (Thank you for coming to see us!) joined us for a few days while Lauren and Charlotte flew back to Chattanooga to get the pin in her wrist removed. Charlotte is a rock star!

We arrived in West Glacier on Saturday and Caroline is back with us. We are whole again! Glacier is the most beautiful place I have ever seen.
